Approaches to Learning
This domain refers to your child’s attitudes about learning and the skills needed to support learning. If you have more than one child, you are already very aware that every child learns in his or her own way and exhibits different approaches to learning. It is important to recognize and strengthen these approaches by encouraging curiosity, creativity, persistence, initiative, reasoning and cooperation. When children approach learning with one or more of these skills, early childhood learning and development is enhanced. Children with these qualities and abilities have a strong foundation for all future learning.
