Squash and Strawberries: Celebrating Earth’s Bounties
Last Updated by

As we move into April, we celebrate young children this month! April 12-18 is the actual week of the young child. Each day there is a focus on something different. The days are as follows: Music Monday, Taco Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. I absolutely love this week! It helps us focus a little more narrowly on what is important.
One of the great ways to celebrate young children is to plant a vegetable garden with them. Children will benefit from the family together time, being outside and learning about healthy foods. The joy of growing your own food sometimes can transform a picky eater because they were part of the process! Enjoy this newsletter and all the activities to help you with this project, and please pass it along to other parents or teachers that you think might be interested in it.
