Mommies and Memories
Posted by

As the end of the school year rolls around for a lot of programs, it naturally gives us a chance to reflect on the year that has passed. It is a great opportunity to foster an appreciation in children as to what they are thankful for, which of course brings us to MOMMIES!
Mother’s day is upon us. I see Mother’s day as a time to appreciate my own mother as well as the women who make a difference in the lives of children. Sometimes that woman is a grandmother or an aunt or even a caregiver.
Being thankful and focusing on what we are proud of are always great characteristics to instill in children at a young age. One of my favorite activities is paying it forward and random acts of kindness. As we celebrate the women in our lives on May 10th, let’s take it a step further and be the positive force of kindness and appreciation in our young children’s lives.
